BLS Provider

 

BLS Provider (CPR/AED for Healthcare) 

Course Description: The American Heart Association BLS class is an Instructor-led class and teaches both single-rescuer CPR and AED, and team basic life support skills. 

Certification: 2 year American Heart Association BLS Provider eCard

Manual: Participants may bring their own BLS Provider Manual or purchase an ebook (sold separately).

Note: This course does NOT include first aid. Please sign up for BLS with Heartsaver First Aid if you need first aid.

It is important you read the confirmation email after registering. Please register using a personal email address (one that you can easily check) such as gmail or yahoo.

If you are registering someone else for a class - you MUST register using the participants email address.  We DO NOT recommend school or work email addresses as they often block email delivery.

Lifeguard Training

 

Lifeguard Certification Prerequisites: 

  • 15 years or older to participate 
  • Participants need the personal email address for online training
  • Online training must be completed before the start of training
  • 2-day in-person course - all days must be attended
  • Classroom & pool setting - dress accordingly
  • A Hip Pack, Whistle, & BigEasy CPR Mask (NO TRIANGLE MASKS) are required to attend the course.

Swim Prerequisite:

  • Swim 50 yards without stopping
  • Swim 50 yards with a rescue tube across the chest
  • Tread water for 1 minute without the use of hands
  • Retrieve 10-pound object from the bottom of the pool

 

Certification will be awarded on the last day of class and are contingent upon the candidate's successful completion of the written and practical exam. Valid for 1 year.

Designing dragons, magic spells and castles, we will embark on an art voyage fit for queens and kings. Bring your sense of wonder to the art table and see how many colors and potions you can create!

 

CAMP OVERVIEW

At the Arts Center, let your kid have fun while being creative!  Each day campers will explore new artistic techniques and create original works of art as they develop their artistic skills. Summer Camps are led by our skilled teaching artists who will guide your child through hands-on learning in a friendly and welcoming environment.

We offer SEVEN WEEKS of SUMMER CAMPS for young artists ages 6-12 years old in painting, drawing, mixed media, clay, sculpture and more. Register for a morning session (9am-12pm), or an Afternoon Session (1-4pm) – or make a full day of art along with lunchtime supervision (12-1pm)!
